Video: "What's the problem with Pitch Lake?" La Brea, Trinidad

Students in the Maymester course “Real Communities, Real Problems & Real Solutions” visited Pitch Lake in La Brea, Trinidad. It’s one of the only places on earth where pitch – or tar – bubbles up naturally from the ground. This video asks the question, “What’s the problem with Pitch Lake?” Some thought it was efficiency. Others thought it was safety. It’s neither, guess what it really is.
